Georgia Renaissance Festival

Georgia Renaissance Festival

The Georgia Renaissance Festival is an interactive art and entertainment festival held each spring combining outdoor theater, circus-style entertainment, and an arts and crafts marketplace, all set inside our recreated 16th-Century European village. - www.garenfest.com

The festival is permanent fixture about 20 min south of Atlanta that oddly enough is only open 3 months out of the year.  I’ve lived in Atlanta for 10 years and I’ve never been to the Renaissance Festival, so when my mother said she wanted to go out of the blue, I was All In!!!

It was like being in a quaint little village. There were numerous live shows with singers, jugglers, acrobats, fire, whips, comedians, etc.  There were also numerous craftsmen throughout the village making all kinds of crafts in front of live audiences.
