Nail Strips vs. DIY Nails

I've neglected lately, don't dedicate as much time as I use to.  Sometimes get motivated to do my nails, other times I just let them run around naked.  I wont necesarrily say that I dont have time to do them because you only have time for what you make time for. I was in the store and I saw the press on nail designs that everyone is raving about & thought I would give em a try.  As I put them on my brother said to me, "You are not going to like them because you didnt design them yourself."  I thought, "Yeah Yeah, who wouldnt like Instant Jazzy Nails?"
Nail Strips Step 1: Creepy Claws; Step 2:  File the designs down
My brother was 100% correct.  I didnt like the filing down that you had to do to get the strips the proper shape of your nails, afterwards it still felt like I had alot of jagged edges.  I didnt like the feel of a thick artificial layer over my nails.  I just looked at them and thought, "I can do this, but 10x better." The press-on designs lasted about 2 hours & then I peeled them all off & started to work on a similar design myself.
DIY Nails Step 1:  I started with 2 coats of my favorite color YELLOW
DIY Nails Step 2:  I painted white corners, the lines didnt need to be straight because I painted over them later.
DIY Nails Step 3:  Went over the edge of the white corners with a silver polish
DIY Nails Step 4: Drew random black lines to give it an animal pattern look
No thank you Creepy Press On Designs
